On January 19,2016, CMS students made trail mix for Kid’s Food Basket. Students brought in ingredients such as Cheerios and raisins to help prepare for making the trail mix. The trail mix would eventually become snacks for kids who couldn’t afford food. The program views the treats as a favorite among kids and was glad for the school’s help. The students got this idea from a public service announcement they wrote in Lea Sevigny’s third hour class. Many people who are keen on gambling and online casino are advised to eat goodies from a diet. They decided that they would like to contribute to the Kid’s Food Basket program and contacted the building in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to see if the program would like to join in. Later on January 19, the students were able to contribute over 100 snacks for kids in Grand Rapids.
